Notice about affiliation fees 2012
9 January 2012
The Executive Committee has decided to keep the fees for 2012 unchanged for the second year in a row. So long as you remember to re-affiliate by the end of January, small clubs with less than 30 members will be charged £12. Those with between 31 and 200 members will be required to pay £18. Larger clubs with 201 or more members are asked to pay £24. Club size will be assessed in the same way as for regional affiliations.
If you do not renew your affiliation until after 31 January, the system introduced in previous years remains in place:
· If a club fails to renew its affiliation to the County before 31 January, the affiliation fee will be doubled.
· If you delay until March, 3 times the normal fee is required, and after the end of March, late renewals will not be allowed to enter competitions in that year.
Clubs may still renew their affiliation, at 3 times the normal rate, but will only be eligible to receive information, but not to compete.
Please note that the renewal date is counted as the date when your properly completed form and cheque are both received. Note, returning the form by e-mail is acceptable, so long as the cheque is received in time.
If you wish to pay by using a cheque that does not clearly indicate the club's name as part of the account name, for example if you use a local authority, building society or personal cheque, please write the club name on the back of the cheque.
If you require a receipt, please include an appropriate Stamped, Addressed Envelope.
If you need a formal invoice, please request one by e-mail.
As usual, the affiliation year runs from 1 January to 31 December.
Please remember that your Club's affiliation to the County association is invalid unless you have also renewed your affiliation to the Region.
Please note that you must renew your affiliation in advance if you wish to attend / vote at the AGM.
Please don't risk disadvantaging your club's members by forgetting to renew your affiliation until after the key date.
Peter Griffin,
Membership Secretary
Clubs that were affiliated in 2011 will be sent an email and re-newal form in the next few days. If you are a new club or wish to affiliate for the first time please contact Peter Griffin. The Affiliation form can be downloaded here (MS Word document).
